Traditional Garden Design Case Study

Here we had a sloping lawn between house and swimming pool with a set of “inherited” steps that appeared to have landed in the lawn.  

 

A path linking the house to the pool was obviously required as was a new set of steps. Further to that we added another path bisecting the area leaving four equal sized areas. To reduce the slope a dry stone wall was installed.

 

A Rose garden was formed edged with Box, Saxifrage and Nepeta. An excellent stress buster for the busy City professional.
